eACLS

The eACLS™ course was developed by Jones and Bartlett Publishers in partnership with the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP), a leader in emergency medicine education and health education.

eACLS™ is a customized course for prehospital and hospital professionals. It is comprised of ten interactive case studies focusing on serious respiratory and cardiac emergencies. A Resources section is also available to review ECGs, pharmacology, and electrical therapy at any time during the course.

Each case study includes 5 sections that refresh and test your understanding of:

• Your patient: Provides a description of the patient
  
• Assessment: Provides refresher information on signs and symptoms; assessment tools and techniques; and ECG interpretation
  
• Treatment: Provides refresher information on treatment options
  
• Interactivities: Interactive exercises that are designed to teach new concepts and reinforce learning
  
• Simulation: Reproduce real-life emergency situations and ask you to respond appropriately
  
  

Once you complete all ten case studies you are eligible to take the final written exam. Upon successful completion of the written exam, you will immediately receive certificates acknowledging completion of the cognitive portion of the course and that you have earned nationally accepted continuing education credits. You can print these out and even email them to your course coordinator so that he or she can keep an electronic copy in your personnel file.
